Mixed Martial Arts
Mixed Martial Arts is the fastest growing Martial Art in the world, and for good reason. It takes the best aspects of Muay Thai, Boxing, Jiu Jitsu, Judo and combines them to make a highly effective system and an amazing workout.
We teach Mixed Martial Arts in a welcoming environment for people of all ages, regardless of fitness level. You will acquire self-assurance and discipline. Our MMA programme focuses on developing a strong fitness, strength, and technique foundation in every lesson.
Muay Thai Kickboxing
Muay Thai lessons are excellent for cross-training in any sport. It also focuses on fitness and is a great means of protecting yourself. Muay Thai is one of the most fascinating Martial Arts to study for both adults and children.
The rich history of this Martial Art is also engrained in the Muay Thai culture at VT1 Academy, with an annual trip to Thailand on offer to students to experience the art and culture firsthand.
Art of Boxing
Krav Maga focuses on one thing – Self-Defence in the shortest, easiest to learn and devastatingly effective manner. It is easy to learn, ensures great fitness and is fun!
Our program comes directly from the Wingate – the home of Krav Maga in Israel – and is not usually taught to the general public.
Perfect for Kids & Adults alike, Krav Maga is not like any of the other traditional Self-Defence training. It is a popular Martial Art with Celebrities, Law Enforcement, Military and Care workers.
Morning Muay Thai
Our Boot Camp classes are designed to make you combat ready and get you in the greatest shape of your life. The lessons are designed to train your entire body and are sure to enhance both your cardio and overall health and fitness.
Students of all fitness levels can participate in Boot Camp courses. There is no prior expertise necessary, and they may be an excellent first step on your fitness journey. If you’re already a competitive athlete, the Boot Camp courses might be a terrific supplement to your routine to give you an advantage.

No, VT1 MMA Academy has dedicated classes to cater for complete beginners all the way up to professional fighters. VT1 is the perfect place to get you started on your martial arts journey.
At VT1 we are a SAFETY-FIRST Academy. Our world-class instructors teach in a controlled environment at an appropriate intensity for the various levels of experience. Sparring is not compulsory. It is very rare for students to attain injuries whilst training.
Yes! The martial arts taught at VT1 MMA Academy are practical and effective. Whether you want to learn martial arts for grappling or striking matches, MMA bouts or street-based self-defence, VT1 offers martial arts with useful and realistic techniques.
VT1 MMA Academy offers different programs to meet your needs. It is recommended to start off in one martial art before taking on others but a personalised meeting with a member of the VT1 staff will help you establish the best training program to help you achieve your goals.

Yes, our parking can be accessed from Lower Gibbes St. Just follow Lower Gibbes St down into Chatswood Business Park, and continue straight and up the ramp until you enter the big parking lot. Access to the academy is by walking through the walkway and around the front of the building. If you have any problems finding us don’t hesitate to call us on (02) 9417 1001 and we can direct you!
Check the timetable for specific class times but the gym is open from Monday to Saturday and is closed on Sunday. There are morning and lunch time sessions but on weekdays the majority of classes take place between 5-9pm and 9am-1pm on Saturdays.
